***OFFICIAL: ISU @ UNI Post Game thread!***

Actually, UNI didn't play that badly. They had a game plan and executed it; 20 out 23 or whatever it was at the FT line certainly helped. As did the homer refs. And most of the friendly bounces went their way. That said, we certainly had chances to win at the end. In fact, we had a bunch of easy buckets, a couple SC and several by DG, that should have gone in but didn't. They go in and this is a totally different game. Didn't go in; nuff said.

The good news is we won't play too many teams, if any, that play the style UNI does. They are good at what they do, but my god, it is painful to watch. That's what really annoys me about losing to them. Not only does my team have to lose, but I have to be tortured for two hours.

Wow... Shocked that nobody mentioned that Jordan Railey played a really nice game. His best of the year.

Speaking of officiating, I thought Railey got away with 2 obvious fouls on blocked shots late in the game.

As I said before, the officiating was bad both ways. It cost us points, and it cost UNI points. It in no way cost us this game.

Holy cow people. Get over the officiating. Good teams win REGARDLESS of who is officiating. I don't believe the officials shot lights out from the line or completely kept us off the offensive boards ALL night.

Blaming it on the officials is pathetic.

So are most of your posts, but we tolerate it.

Very very true....great and for the most part good teams too win regardless of refs.

We aren't to that level yet.

Not a huge loss, and the Cal game is not a must win. In the end the worst game we've played all year and it came down to the last 30 seconds. This will give us the experience we need to win a couple later in the season when it really matters. Last year all we did was force the ball to Brackins at the end of close games, this is just a team still learning how to win close games.

Agreed. He'll be a nice defensive presence for us in a couple years.
Not sure why we're blaming the refs for the loss. They were pretty bad both ways but we've seen much much worse.
Absolutely nothing has changed down the stretch. We can't do anything in the half court. I don't know why all the hate for DG when everybody else is just standing around watching him and can't get open. That's on Fred and the other players as well as DG for not hitting the open shots.
We really shouldn't be that upset though considering UNI is an ok team and our best players are sitting out for the year.

Railey gave us solid minutes. It seemed like every time O'Rear posted it up, a foul would be called shortly after. Just a frustrating game to watch because of the pace of play.

The refs changed the outcome of the game, but it was in the first half with all the crap touch calls on us. We became extremely tentative due to the way they were calling the game just trying not to foul. Played right into uni's plan. Come to our house next year uni. The fun is over jokers.

UNI fans, don't touch this thread. The game was a joke. Old slow refs, a bunch of calls for the slow, nonathletic team, and home cooking. That was all this game was. This game made me dislike UNI and really will be rooting against them the rest of the season. I feel robbed this game; that team had no call beating us.

this is funny

ORear was the only player I saw out there getting way too many calls going his way.
