***OFFICIAL ISU OSU POST GAME THREAD****

I turned the game off once CPR gave up, sad. Briles goes for it 4th and 1 in the first quarter on his own 29 and CPR doesn't even have the balls to go for it down 24 on a 4th and 1.

Why do we toot this horn? The Big 12 might not even be the 2nd best conference in the nation the last 2 years.

Yeah but it's not comparable to the big ten. We have an o line and Qb that are middle if the pack in the big ten, but here you got to score 35 to have a chance. It's just a dissent style if football. Until we get an upgrade at several offensive positions this is going to happen.

No clue why every one is upset, this is exactly what you should expect every week. We will do ok vs Texas, Tcu, Iowa, Ksu and have a shot...but against osu, Baylor, ou...no chance, we just can't score enough

You don't get it. Losing is one thing to a ranked team on the road. It is HOW this team loses that is absolutely frustrating. This season it has been more about what ISU is doing to stop themselves than it has been getting beat in large portions of games. And then in the 2nd half, the flood gates open up.

Sometimes, the better team wins. That's what has happened in all the losses this year.

Disappointed it the horrifying special team play, but other than that, I thought the team fought hard and never gave up. Really turned out about like I expected.

The offense somehow needs to get better, but it is a struggle right now with all the injuries. After West got hurt, the whole receiving corp was reserves. Think about that, and how it affect the ability of guys to get open, and the connection between the QB and WR. Those guys were all second team for a reason, and it showed with several dropped passes. SR need to do better too, but he is not in sync with the WR that are playing.

Big XII has not been a dominating football conference. Texas and Oklahoma have been back with the pack for the last few years. Baylor has risen from the ashes and K State has done what it has done. We've been stuck in the same pattern during a time when there was a chance to make a move towards relevance. No thinking outside the box when it comes to personnel and approach. We just roll the same offense out there week after week and score our 20 points. We have the illusion of competitiveness because we have an old guy that has a few tricks up his sleeve and knows how to coach our talent level on defense. That's it. That's all we have. No playmaking ability at all on offense. I have no idea why not, all I know is we don't. Gee, if somebody could get paid a couple million bucks a year to figure that out....

Keep calm. OSU is another Top 25 team. What did you expect? It is mighty big glass to fill suggesting we should be winning these games.

Not sure how long you've watched ISU football but when you play in a big boy football league like the B12/B8 you play some very good teams. If you're waiting to play a schedule like Iowa's this year with only one or two top 25 teams, it could be decades.

What separates basement teams like ISU and ranked teams is winning and losing. If you automatically concede ranked teams you're starting with 5-6 losses right out of the gate most years

So, if you have shoes that are three sizes too big, is that a problem with your feet?

In other words, we could have more wins if we weren't in the Big XII. That's a fact, Jack.

GO CLONES!!

This and blaming a bad call have to be the worst-used reasons for so much fail in ISU football.
OSU isn't that good, and neither is the B12, and ISU would still be a marginal-at best football team no matter the conference.

If you're getting spanked two years in a row by FCS teams, and can't hang with even somewhat decent teams, there's deeper issues than just conference affiliation.

Paul started out as a riverboat gambler and I liked that. Kind of hung it out there and tried diferent things. I miss that guy. He used to play our backup QB's for a series or two.

I want my CPR back.

What level is below FCS?

We need to worry about our deficiencies in things the opposition has little influence on before the fact playing average OK St/KSU teams is the constraint we are up against.

When you struggle at executing the lay-up line, the fact the other team can block a few of your shots is inconsequential.
