Official ISU-Nebraska Post Game Thread

Ugh...that is scary.

All you calling for a new coach...when and if that happens down the line (years not games)...who the HELL do you think we're going to get? We hired the hottest assistant coach prospect in a number of years and he can't win here. McCarney won here 3 years out of 12 and they almost named a building after him. Nobody is going to want this job. We lucked out that Pollard sweet talked Chizik (no matter how good a coach you think he is).

We're better off giving him AS MUCH time as possible (just like Mac) and hoping for the best. 2009 is a crucial year, obviously.

I'll repeat in simple terms...do you really think a quality coaching candidate is going to want to risk his ENTIRE career on coming to Ames? Good luck.

Sadly, that is the truth. Which makes me wonder why I devote so much energy in following this team.

Keep it clean and on topic - no name calling or putting down others!

Easy Answer. NOT ONE TIME. EVER

Others team do it. We never take a slant to the house. EVER.

We did it 3 times today, not just once. And we also ran a 7 yd out on 3rd and 10. WHY?

Because that is what the defense gave us. We took it and then punted. Our team cannot dictate what happens on the field because we are outmanned at virtually every position. I'm trying to stay positive for the future, but I see very few bright spots to build upon. The few we do have will have a hard time shining with all the weak spots I see. We've got somme huge holes to fill and I can't see them being filled in the near future.

That is not true. This oline struggles to protect.

No doubt. That is why we have to run so many formations that have 2 TE's.

But there were three times we ran plays short of a first down on 3rd down. And on those three plays AA had tons of time

Can you name for me a coach at a BCS school who started out 4 - 20 (I'm going to leave out the 1aa schools...) and went on to build a good program?

Ferentz was 4-19 his first two seasons at Iowa, and he has two Conference Championships and a BCS Bowl win since.

I'm no Ferentz/Iowa fan, but those are facts, and they answer your question.

Give it time....

Ouch. Just got home from the game.

The offense obviously played horrid, but I think the real story of the the day was the defense's failure to even touch Ganz on 99% of the plays today. Other than that, the defense didn't play THAT bad.

We've obviously taken our position as the worst team in the North and we'll find out next week who the worst team in the Big 12 is.

The end of this season will not be like the end of the last season. Can we find some sort of momentum going into the offseason???

So after 19 games, you're giving up. I wasn't going to go here, but I can't resist: Did you did that under McCarney?

That's the point, how many coaches in a row must you support while they do nothing but lose before you expect some positives? I supported Walden while I was at ISU. Fifteen years (of mostly losing) later and I'm beginning to run out of patience.
