Lipscomb isn't that bad of a team. They aren't great but they aren't that bad. Memphis only beat them by 10 and it they brought it to within 2 near the end of the game, and Memphis is better than ISU. Illinois beat them by 14 or 15 points. ISU won last night by 17 on a night when they had a guy hit 9 three pointers and was on fire. If he doesn't have such a hot shooting night they easily win by 20 to 30 points.
Exactly. Last night was a solid team effort against a team whose record doesn't really indicate what they can do.
I would think that the Memphis game would be an eye-opener for our fans. I sure wasn't expecting a 17-point win. The only team with a bigger margin of victory against Lipscomb was undefeated #22 Murray State. The Racers won by around 22-24.
We had less lulls, we responded well to Bergeson's hot shooting, and we put an impressive shutdown on Bergeson in those last 8ish minutes.
