I am wathcing yahoo sports live and it said scotty dunked the ball. that cant be right, can it?

Best defensive game overall so far. Not to say it was good. It went from a travesty to the game of basketball that would make children weep to acceptable.

I saw the same thing. Showing Royce finishing with only 4 points and Scotty with 26. Is that not correct? SC is 6'3" and pretty athletic, wouldn't surprise me if he could throw down.

I saw scotty in the parking lot at a football game. Walked right up to him. Said hi. I am 6-2 and easily an inch or 2 taller.

Seems to be coming together, but slowly.

Better defense, better ball movement, looking more comfortable out there

Really seeing flashes of what they could be, but at times, they just seem to do just enough to get the win, which will get them at times (see Drake and UNI).

Easy to see that Scottie and Chris are better at their respective spots, and hopefully that will help the flow of the offensive game. Royce is just really impressive, though I'd still like to see him a little more selfish.

As was said earlier in the thread, the big fella could be unstoppable if he would use his strength to post up inside 10 feet. Gotta move the ball well enough to get it to him there though.
He has 2 defenders on him most nights, hard to shoot like that. Also he did a good job distributing it to scottie who was on fire tonight.

Really pretty happy with tonight...took a lot of shots to the jaw and didn't back down. I didn't see that 7-8 minute lull in the 2nd half like we've seen in games. Man though..that kid from Ames was on FIRE! Good to see a guy that grew up a Cyclone put together a good game in Hilton.

I would compare that kid more ro a stick figure than Larry Bird. He looks like he weighs no more than 125 pounds.

Yes, and I'm sure everyone mocked him out of high school. Not good enough to play in the Big 12. Yet he just hung 30 on a Big 12 team on their home floor. Have we had anyone score 30 this year? Against anyone? He goes for 30, Royce in single digits. Something wrong.

1. I really, really wish we had someone, ANYONE who could deliver the ball to white in the post when he has his man sealed.

2. Royce could have had 14-15 assists tonight if our guys knock down their open J's. I can't believe Babb is still slumping so bad - hopefully he gets out of the funk before the Texas game.

This team's identity appears to be when Royce plays hard, the team plays better.

Hello? Babb? Where'd your shot go?

When Royce doesn't get his points, he throws his arms up, looks at Fred, and pouts. I'd like to see him be a man and take what he gets. When you're getting double teamed on and off the ball, you'll have games like this. 8 assists ain't too shabby.

Also, anyone notice Booker's black socks? forget to do laundry?

Annnnd Bubu looks like Dwayne Wade. just sayin.

Isn't that what he just did? 2-3 from the field, 8 assists.

I don't see Royce pouting at all. He seems to be enjoying the game MORE when he's distributing the ball. Now he may seemed ****** that he doesnt get fed the ball when he has his man sealed and has a kid half his size on his back, but he's one of the most unselfish guys i've seen play.

The opposite of pouting...jesus some of the people on this board cannot wait a second to jump on Royce about something. He is leading our team in every major statistical category all while playing his first organized ball in 2 years. I don't even want to imagine what our team would look like without him on the floor..

Did you see Chris Allen's shoes?

No you don't, but you are posting like they will easily win a bunch of games. The thing is, they won't if they play like they have all year. Every team in the conference would blow Lipscomb out of the water.

Lipscomb isn't that bad of a team. They aren't great but they aren't that bad. Memphis only beat them by 10 and it they brought it to within 2 near the end of the game, and Memphis is better than ISU. Illinois beat them by 14 or 15 points. ISU won last night by 17 on a night when they had a guy hit 9 three pointers and was on fire. If he doesn't have such a hot shooting night they easily win by 20 to 30 points.

This is complete and utter ********. Royce did nothing like this in the game. As many others have said, he is one of the most unselfish players I have ever seen play at ISU. Definitely the biggest combination of talent and selflessness that we've seen in a long time.

He looks just as pumped after dropping a dime as he does after smashing a dunk.

I think about the only time I saw him getting the least bit frustrated last night was after about his 3rd or 4th nice pass got bobbled or went through someones legs.
