I hope Germany cruises in their first two games, and has a "let down" against us..maybe we can sneak a tie.

This is every americans hope ... Germany takes care of business in their first two games and can put it in cruise control in game 3 while still winning the group

Random Question: What would you rather happen, the US wins the World Cup, or ISU wins a BCS game? Is it even a fair question? I think both are on similar paths: ISU with facility upgrades, better recruiting, growing fanbase etc. And the US national team growing in popularity. Both have had brief moments of success: ISU in 2000 going 9-3, and the US getting to the quarter finals in 2002. Thoughts?

I'd rather have ISU win a BCS game than the US win 6 world cups.

Cyclone college football >>>>>>>>>>>>> soccer

I can't imagine anyone on this website would prefer US soccer success over Cyclone football success (except for rival fans)

I'd choose the US winning the World Cup. ISU can't even win a BCS bowl anymore, the BCS era is over. Nice trick question.

can't link to twitter from work so I'll just steal this quote i saw.

The England team visited an orphanage in Brazil today. "It's heartbreaking to see their sad little faces with no hope." said Jose, age 6.

Ah you got me, my mistake. I would rather ISU win a playoff game than the US win the world cup, but its closer than some people would think. My three favorite sports are NCAA football, NCAA basketball, and US National team soccer, which includes the WC, the Gold Cup, and any other friendlies we might be playing.

I agree. Im thinking we draw with Germany and Portugal, and defeat Ghana. We have to hope Germany wins their other two, and Portugal can draw with Ghana. This is best case I think.

In that scenario we're sitting on 5 points, not 4. 5 might be enough.

That is quite the juxtapose you did there.
