****Official Class of 2016 Recruiting Thread****

Anyone know if Minnesota has any good, poachable Midwest kids committed? Baby Pitino just got swept by both South Dakota schools.

They have Amir Coffey and Eric Curry. Both 4*'s that we recruited. I doubt they are poachable yet though. I bet Petino's seat won't get warm until next year.

They have good talent, but I don't think they are readily available to ISU despite Minnesota's season. Pitino has started to lock up more of the better talent.

Maybe we could get the younger Hurt brother in our radar. Yet, he'll probably follow his brother to Minny. Know we visited McKinley (Wright??), I think it is, but sounds like lots of schools are after him.

Even if it doesn't help us this year, it may help us in the next couple of recruiting classes if Pitino keeps struggling. With TJ, we will definitely recruit Minnesota and if UM has a rough year, it could open the window for us.

Agree with the minny thing but we all have to keep in mind does TJ leave or stay in a year or two..? That's the question in the back of all of Bball minds.

Has anybody heard if we've looked at Gary Trent Jr.?

Lol I was gonna say this but figured I receive a bunch of heat from certain types of posters. I think he leaves next year. He's paid he dues and should be HC at a lower level school. Wouldnt be surprised if he ended up at drake or took over for jacobson when he finally moves on to a better progtam

Hurt is on our radar.

He won't succeed Jake.

I'm guessing we won't be getting a mid year transfer at this point because that window is closing and I haven't heard of anyone that's even on our radar. Anyone else surprised at the lack of mid year guys this year? (Or am I just out of the loop)

So it looks like we will have 1 (possible 2 with Monte) to use on a transfer in the spring. Hopefully we can find an immediate eligible big man to strengthen the front court next year.

The mid year ship has probably sailed
