On the road...
Alright ladies and gents, one of my favorite weeks of the year is upon us...American Craft Beer Week. It's a great week to support local breweries. So what is everyone drinking? I have myself some San Tan Devil's Ale and Four Peaks RAJ IPA to start the week. Both brewed right here in PHX.

Stopped in at Toppling Goliath yesterday and had a mug of 1492 IPA (single hop Columbus), and then had a Prairie Funky Galaxy and Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold while watching hockey.

Drinking a Sierra Nevada Summerfest right now.

I'll have to get into to TG again this week since they're putting out their Millenium Falcon APA to celebrate Craft Beer Week. Or just have my wife bring a few growlers home.

I had a Deep Diver Pound-Puller Green Hornet Yesterdaysterston Hoppy-Hoppsterston poured slow into a frosted mug cast from the glass of a crystal skull dug from grave of a Mayan Prince, and then sipped slowly through a sugar coated straw. ;)

I gotta admit...when I grabbed a couple Confluence quarts when I first saw them and didn't realize until after I checked out that they were $10 each (so, $10 for less than 3 beers), I kinda tapped the brakes on the craft beer. I really started looking at prices, and it's like it's an arms race to charge more for the same beer. Now, if we're talking a very heavy beer, or extremely hopped, I understand inputs are more, but I'm likely not grabbing those anyway, so for the same beer, I find it hard to grab those that are 8-10 a six pack, even.

Yea its tough and annoying. The wife and I usually grab a six pack or 2 of good stuff a week. (10-20ish) and if we are going out to the bar for more than just a drink its good ole InBev time. But if I am sitting around at night, I enjoy a nice craft beer.

Solid choice. I'm heading to a small tour at Peticolas tomorrow night. They are putting on some of their more limited and previous years brews. Still my favorite brewery in north Texas. Deep Ellum is a close second though.

I've gotten some Peticolas here and there, but never more than a couple pints. Another brewery in that area is Community, they are about a year old, pretty good stuff there too (Mosaic IPA is one of the best I've had)
