Dust Storm at Arizona State's stadium:
Yeah Stadium Crew probably had it close to all cleaned up for the new season and then that happens the week of the 1st game. Sure they are thrilled to have to clean it all over again.Bet that's fun to clean up before the home opener.
I thought Haboob was just a middle eastern(Arabic) term. I guess we have borrowed it. Saw lots of Haboobs in Saudi Arabia, very common in the desert there.HABOOB!
Careful, it might rain for the next month only on the side of the deck you don’t have finished. When the weather is mad at you look out.Shakes fist at sky in Mpls area. Weather forecast was dry for the week with no one hinting at rains so started deck staining and got 1/3 done. And out of nowhere rogue rain last night and now chance of thunder boom booms Wednesday night.. Of course.
Just remember. It's a privilege, not a right. Same goes for you ladies with the spandex.75 for the home opener?
Shirts off, fellas!
I would happily take an inch right now. We're going on 3 weeks since our last meaningful rain which is the longest stretch of summer. Quite a few beans finishing out those top pods still but that window is closing fast.I don’t understand how or why but woke up with 2 inches of rain overnight
I've heard of them down in TX. No idea where the term comes from.I thought Haboob was just a middle eastern(Arabic) term. I guess we have borrowed it. Saw lots of Haboobs in Saudi Arabia, very common in the desert there.
**** CanadaThey forgot the Canadian smoke. Made for a crappy summer.
I didn’t think it was that bad here this summer. Way worse in 2023. Minnesota and Wisconsin did seem worse than Iowa though. They forgot the Canadian smoke. Made for a crappy summer.
My wife dreads fall and winter as she hates the cold, to the point where she will get sad when people just mention football season or school starting. I've tried my best to help her get past that, as those seasons represent half of her life (and another quarter spent dreading that half), but it's a tough thing to overcome for sure. This has little to do with the weather, but as I sit here at 8pm I can't help but notice how much quicker it's getting dark outside, and that makes me a little sad.
In a few short months, the days will get very short and cold, the nights will seem endless, and I will long for the spring time. Fall is such a beautiful time time of year...if only it didn't have to be followed by 4 or more months of winter.
Guess I should learn to live in the present and not focus so much on what lies ahead.
