Grass is getting pretty crispy on these warm afternoons. Hopefully cooler air will slow than down. I forgot where my sprinklers go.
This will make training for my 50 mile ruck event much more agreeable next week! Yay!
Yes, we air the house out on occasion, but I installed a furnace and AC for a reason. If I lose sleep, it's not because of the weather. It's a pet peeve of mine when I visit someone in the winter and their house is too cold to shed your coat and they are dressed ready to walk out the front door or you sweat sitting at the kitchen table in the summer, all at the expense of saving a few bucks. If i want to enjoy the weather I can sit on the patio, but I'm going to be comfortable in my home--and you can come visit and enjoy the same.

If you are in the dsm area Scheels is hosting a 5, 10, and 20k event 10/4(I think). The way I look at it any organized event is a ruck event.
I think that Toppling Goliath in Decorah is doing an event with GoRuck next year. It should be an awesome weekend if they actually do it.

Just picked up a half inch of rain. Was worried the grass might slow down growing..
That looks like comfortable weather with some invigorating lows.
People here in Honolulu are so unused to cold weather that some of those lows would be considered almost bitter cold.
If we win today, I suspect there'll be a lot of that
