We didn’t get one flake of snow in north Iowa. I’m in blue earth mn now and nothing.
Can I have all your stuff when we find your frozen body clinging to an empty milk jug?
I would say 3-4 in south ames as well. It was pretty wet also it seemed like.

No point now. Ames is gone.
KCCI had Ames at 4 inches, very wet snow, would have been great for a snowball fight. Snowblower cut right through it, damn glad I did not have to scoop it. Took about 40 minutes to do the drive, sidewalk and the porch off the back of the house. Glad we are leaving Saturday for the Caribbean.
Go ahead and keep pushing that south if you wouldn't mind.
Watch out south of US 34 this weekend. Pretty stout dry north wind. I expect a tight snow gradient on that northern edge. At this point, I don't like DSM snow prospects that much. Lighter amounts.
I keep reading where it's dangerous for people of a certain age to shovel.

Predictions down here in KC are all over the place. WU is currently at 15", which is crazy for 24-36 hours out. Seems like the rain to snow changeover is going to effect what totals end up being.
