***Official 2025 Weather Thread***

Wind will still be strong tonight, but the state of the snow pack just doesn't appear to be significant for a visibility drop. Will some of it blow around in north Iowa? I think it has the possibility to. Still looks like 50-60 mph from 1-6AM especially.

Barometric pressure is really falling. Wouldn’t be surprised to see lightning tonight.
 
How is it going to freezing rain when the high tomorrow is 25?

That’s actually how it works. You have cold, below-freezing temperatures at the surface, with warmer, above-freezing air aloft. The precipitation forms as rain (because it’s above freezing), falls through the colder air below, then freezes on below-32-degree surfaces.

Well, supposed to be flying home from Fargo this afternoon. Fargo -> MSP -> Dsm. Odds I make it back?
 
Flying back to DSM from Orlando. Flight is supposed to get in around 3. What time is this suppose to hit?
