Zero measurable rain at the Cedar Rapids airport since August 30.
Zero rain in the forecast in the next week.
I might be wrong, but I don’t think it’s possible to have a drier month than one with zero precipitation.
Yup. It's back. Weird after raining everyday most of the summer in Minnesota. Sort of got used to not watering anything and garden hostas and ferns sort of toasted with me not paying attention.
Yeah, but it's a big dry. (The white area expects to see no rain for the next week.)
Hard to believe! My vehicles look like I drive them all over country roads which I don't...the dust/dirt on them is terrible! We need rain for obvious reasons...but it would be great to have rain to just "wash" all the dirt and dust off of everything!

JJK Center getting a 20 million boost. New housing development near there. One man is leading the change with an amazing team... quite a great story.
I tried aerating my yard last weekend and I might as well have been doing the driveway. The sprinklers only do so much, but I'd like to get it done soon.
Tried doing a friends yard with my tow-behind... Got most of it done but when I went to do the last part realized the frame had cracked where the wheels connect to the handle to raise/lower it. Luckily my dad has some welders at his shop and thinks it can be fixed, but yeesh.
Soybean harvest is tough right now especially for seed companies seed production acres. Down to 7% moisture according to Stine guy I talk with. They are working around the clock. Come Saturday if it is really windy those pods will be shattering like crazy!!
