I think I had close to 4 inches in West DM. Way more than I thought it was going to be!

Always better to be pleasantly surprised by the measurement than the alternative.

It's really interesting how the whole perception of winter weather changes as we get into the end of the winter. The roads throughout most of the metro were ******* throughout the morning commute, and worse than that on back highways and side roads. Hardly any 2-hr delays and hardly any weather coverage buildup even though there was a decent amount of snow throughout central Iowa. Granted by noon the ground temperatures dried off all the roads and started melting snow in a hurry, but it's still funny to think about how differently we react to snow events later in the year.

More than what we are use to seeing? Maybe in the last few years..........but there is a reason why many, many decades ago they coined that area "tornado alley". Tornado's in that area are the usually norm in the spring.
