***Official 2024 Weather Thread***

Whew boy. Things got western. Tornado warning and flash flood warning. Sub pump is still dry but only thanks to the French drains. So glad I jetted the drains and cleaned the gutters last month.

It can go back to a drought now please

Yeah, luckily it’s mainly storage now with my boy out of the house, and a lot of the stuff is on shelving. Carpet tile is toast though, and anything laying on the floor
I always have a second sump pump on hand just incase. Have an old cast iron one that is old and the float is broke now but I can flip it on and it moves water, all I care.

A few years back I changed mine from the float on the rope thing and it's more of a mechanical pivoted float now.
Rope on the old one got tangled, it didn't engage.

Invest in a battery back up sub pump or get a system that uses your house’s water pressure to move the water.

We had a sub pump fail on Labor Day 2019 about 6 months after we finished our basement. Put a battery backup system in and have had good luck so far

I see my sister's house in this video. Looks like the houses are ok, but that course might take a bit of work to get back into playing condition
There was flooding on this hole a month or so ago (but not this bad) and I played the course a couple of days later
