*** Official 2015-16 NBA Playoff Thread ***

It's difficult for me to gauge the Bulls' defense. The rules are very different today, and teams can't be as physical as they used to be. Maybe that wouldn't matter, I don't know. But I tend to think that if they played under the 90's rules, the Bulls win. If they play under today's rules, GS wins more often than not.

With all this stuff about Green, it brings me back to the 30/30 on The Bad Boys, and how in that era there was nothing 'inadvertent' about intentions, and teams like the Pistons used the fact that they could directly hit someone to their advantage, physically and mentally.

The brawls from those Celtics teams were interesting too.

I don't watch much NBA, and think it's incredible that he's done what he's done, but casually watching the other night, it looks like Lebron James is literally unstoppable when he plays like he just wants to get a bucket. But there's times when it looks like he's more concerned with making a 'show' out of a play/situation and it all falls apart.

Just an observation.

I think it would look shadier if they let a star player strike somebody in the groin every 5th game with no suspension.

It seems the NBA has an issue with overcomplicating their suspension policies. The suspension should just be because the benefit of the doubt is completely gone when you do the same thing twice in a short time frame, not because of some 4 or 5 violations on a list of check marks.

To me I don't care if he has his fourth strike on a list, it's a very shady play and he's done it twice in just a few games. Once and there's some flexibility, twice and just a few game laters? You're suspended a game or two no hesitation, probably multi-game in the regular season. A third would mean a lengthy suspension. But that's just my opinion on what would make sense to me.

I don't disagree. But don't wait until three games later when it looks like the series could end early to make that decision. Have that decision made by the next game.

If I remember right a suspension means you aren't allowed in the building. I wonder when they win he will still get to partake in the championship celebration after the game?

He was in the mix for finals MVP, scratch that if he misses 20% of the games and isn't in the building.

It will probably go to Curry even being way below his season averages. Green probably had the most overall production for GSW through 4 though.

The fine for being in the building would only be $500 (read it somewhere, cant remember where tho). So I am guessing he will be in the building.

So the league said "oh ****, we've got to extend this series! I know!" and then upgraded a foul from three games ago so a starter gets suspended? That doesn't look shady at all.....

What exactly are you talking about? Draymond smacked LeBron in the groin in game 4.

He tagged Lebron in the nuts at the end of game 4. The decision to issue a Flagrant 1 came less than 48 hours later, well in advance of Game 5 tonight.

I think Lebron baited him into it, and I think Draymond Green was stupid to fall for it. If he wants to play on the edge, fine. I understand that's what has made him an All Star. But he has to be smarter than that, and even though his teammates are saying all the right things to defend him publicly, they ought to be ****** off at him. The league office already gave him the benefit of the doubt once after the Steven Adams incident, and they couldn't keep turning a blind eye. He pushed them into a corner where they had to do something.

The Warriors can still win tonight, but with him out of the lineup the Cavs should have a considerably easier task trying to match up with them.

That was a pretty incredible third quarter for the Cavs on the road fighting through a couple bad calls where the Warriors trimmed the lead.

Very good chance for the pretty rare two players on one team over 40 in a Finals game.

Who? Too lazy to look it up.

Impressive by the Cavs but I don't buy it for two games in a row.

41 apiece with a few minutes left for James and Irving. Irving hardly missed a shot.

I know Green is out, but disappointed in what could have been for this finals. Really it's been 5 uncompetitive games. This game was close in the first half but all Cavs for most of the 3rd and 4th.
