High risk-high reward for the Celts. Cousins has franchise player potential but if he doesn't connect with Stevens then it could easily blow up in their faces. Tough call for Ainge but at some point he's going to have to cash in all those assets he's sitting on.

Right, guys like Cousins don't become available in trades unless they have their issues. I think it's a gamble you have to take, and who knows what Sacramento will request for him, I don't think their top front office guys have a good handle on how far away they actually are from competing in the West but Joerger and their new assistant GM should bring a much more realistic opinion of the Kings in with them. Boston could give them a real nice rebuild jump-starter package.

And the longer Sacramento waits the less value they'll get. It's unlikely that they're going to turn the corner any time soon, and not many teams are going to have the ability to offer a package of players and picks like Boston can right now.
It's a gamble for Boston, but they've thrown all that money at Brad Stevens so they may as well trust him to manage a talented head case.

Maybe even more than that. Last year the Celts reportedly offered the Hornets a package of up to six draft picks, four of which were potential first rounders. And that was just to move from #16 to #9.
And for a two player draft where even the top two guys are far from a sure thing, that's a steep price. If I'm Danny Ainge, I'm dong my homework on DeMarcus Cousins to see if he's worth the headache and trying to lowball the Kings. I don't know if Cousins is coachable at all, but if Brad Stevens can get through to him then he's an elite big man just going into his prime, and he's under contract through the 2018 season.

That's settled science.

Leflop is back. Problem is his own guy was the one that hit him.

I've never heard someone say soccer is the only sport with floppers. Usually it's soccer has the biggest floppers.
