OKC looked like they were imploding the entire second half. Horrible coaching and horrible approach to the game by their players.
I generally cheer for the underdog after my team gets eliminated (which for now means go cavs) in any sport and think you're probably right. There certainly has been a gigantic drop in Heat fans.
I'll take the Warriors in seven. Lebron and some scrubs pushed them to six last year. Irving (and sometimes Kevin Love) give Lebron a better supporting cast than he had for the Finals last time around but I think Golden State is going back to back.
I think a lot of it depends on guys like JR Smith and Iman Shumpert for the cavs. If those guys can knock down open threes that they will get and defend like crazy they will be able to win. JR Smith is a guy that can give you 5 or 25 points. The cavs need those 25 point nights to coincide with other players hitting shots. When Tristan Thompson is in the game, he'll need to rebound on both ends.
It should be an intriguing series.
The injuries to Love and Irving allowed Cleveland to get its best defensive lineups on the floor almost the entire series. Love and Irving always seem to struggle against Golden St, those two are going to get pick and rolled over and over again. I don't see Cleveland taking it beyond the six games they did last year this year either.
I've got a bet on Golden St to win the title at -135 that I made before the playoffs started, have a real nice chance to hedge on Cleveland +185 at this point, but think I'll just let it ride.
Winning wise yes but probably not mindset wise. Stockton didn't have the horrible shot "hero ball" in him that Westbrook does. OKC has a much better roster than Utah did (even with Jeff H).
It could cost him Game 1 of the Finals. The league office is reviewing that play and if they decide to assess a retroactive flagrant on Green then it's an automatic one game suspension for him.
Green grabbed Adams arm as he was falling down causing Adams to fall on him. There should have been a flagrant on Green, but since the nba is rigged he'll only get a small fine
How did they call a foul on both players after reviewing that play? As far as I knew, common fouls aren't reviewable?
Mildly surprised this hasn't been commented on tonight, since The Finals are underway. Any how...Cleveland is getting owned by Golden State's bench.
