Night game - BAD IDEA

I'm sure media coverage will focus on Iowa State fans causing problems, because hoks don't drink or misbehave. Might even break out old VEISHEA footage for newscasts

I was there. They had a beer bong that went from the third story to the ground level. It was pretty impressive.
I'm sure you can make lemonade when given lemons, but it still sounds about as appealing as holding a watch party in your unfinished basement with concrete 5' ceilings.

I think all night games are a bad idea. But I'm also an exhausted dad to a five year old and a newborn, so I'm biased. I'm excited to watch most of the first half tomorrow night, though. Should be a good one!

In 2002 I was a freshman at ISU and we tailgated in the bottom level of the parking ramp just south of the Field House near the stadium. By gametime there were people passed out everywhere and we were wading around in beer cans. ******** doesnt begin to explain the carnage in that parking ramp that day!
Beer can "Snow Angels" with vomit/piss lubrication ???... please extrapolate carnage:eek:

2010 was a 2:30 kick.

Sorry, my bad, I didn't double-check times. My point still stands that they were the ****tiest experiences I ever had at a road game, win/lose, day or night. We also drove school vehicles during my time there to Mizzou, Nebraska, and Kansas a few times and I think K-State once, and never had an experience like that.

I plan on at least blindsiding 3 cyclone fans, that are substantially smaller than me, before the nights over.

Totally kidding, I'm not attending the game. And, I do agree, this game, played at night, is asking for trouble.

I was at the 2002 game and had an awesome time tailgating beforehand. The only thing bad I remember were some iowa fans throwing beer bottles after the game.

That being said, I have been to games there before that started early and it was the drunken disaster we expect it to be Saturday night. I think it is just a matter of what you happen to walk by at any particular point at that dump.

I guess I'm not sure it will change the amount of arrests. I mean, I doubt most college kids tailgate, go to the 11 o'clock kick and call it a night after the game. If anything, the game being between 7 and 11 may help reduce the problem.

at least those leaving won't be able to see as much of that **** hole of a town because it will be dark.
