New DE recruit visit-

The article lists 40 time as 4.6, his profile shows 4.89 - quite a difference. I think he would be a good catch if he runs a 4.6.

I would like to have Mr. Bush and his motor playing in the big XII too! I hope he's impressed. Is there a BBall game at home that weekend? Would they take him to that?

4.6 for a DE is ridiculous. Would be great if its true, but I'm thinking he'd have other offers if he ran that fast.

Just happen to be playing the hawks that weekend so I'm sure they will have as many recruits in that weekend as possible as Hilton should be rocking!

A DE running a 4.89 would be a great catch! A DE running a 4.6 would be a 5 star talent and a lock to be in the NFL. There just are not very many DE's that run that fast.

Here is some proof showing how fast the best DE's in college ran the 40 two years ago

Read an article on Dartwan Bush. Article quoted Dartwan as stating that he was very excited about the ISU offer (has a Houston offer), because it would give him the opportunity to play Big 12 football. Gotta like how those Texas kids admire the Big 12. Also read that Dartwan's coach stated that if Dartwan was 3 inches taller, everyone would be recruiting him.

I really like this kid....

not sure on the 4.6 speed but he looks fast on film. attached a highlight video of him that speaks to his speed, several plays hes tracking down running backs on the opposite side of the field and on several other plays he mirrors the qb and ultimately sacks several time.

Bush

Check out this quote from the kid....sounds like just the kind of guy wally wants!!!!

Bush has seen his share of double-teams, but the play of the entire line has been able to out muscle the competition.

“We’re not selfish,” Bush said. “Sometimes we make plays, but sometimes we’re doing stuff just to help our teammates out, like getting double-teamed on purpose so the linebackers can be free and help the entire defense. We do what it takes for the team.”

This kid could be the RUSH end we so desperately need....if Wally can convert a rangy 2* OG into 3 time all american George Selvie i have confidence he can take an athlete and teach him football and the rest is on the kid!!!!! This kid is a good athlete and plays the run exceptional. I like him a lot....

I would really like 3 DL recruits...
Rony Nelson
Mike Douglas or Tim Jackson
Dartwan Bush

This would really elevate this recruiting class in my opinion, the one position were lacking recruits is the DL and the staff appears to be focusing on that need right here!!!!!

When I think Wally Burnham I think George Selvie. He picked this an average Olineman and turned him into a poitential first round pick. That is what we need to do. Right now we cannot get the raw defensive line talent that a lot of schools can. The name of the game is development and i think we have the staff in place to do that.

Looks like kNU would have went after him if they hadn't gotten their first choice kids.

He's listed as a top 20 defensive lineman by TexasFootball.com that tells me this kid might be flying under the radar to those outside of the state of texas a bit.....

This kid looks and sounds like a team player and based on his vid's he can hold his own on the strongside, wonder how he will look on the weakside - umm can u say full throttle!!!!!!!

We ant him. I am impressed. This kid not only has some physical ability, but he also plays smart. Look at the number of running plays he just blows up. He gets off the ball quick but at the same time does not run himself out of the play which seems to be something we lack sometimes. He is great in run support. He also gets off of good blocking very well when he is picked up. Give him a redshirt and this kid could be very good.

Haven't seen him play but he and his team beat one of the most storied programs (North Shore) in the Houston area in the play-offs last week.

"It would really mean a lot because the Big 12 is the place to be," said Bush. "My father is really excited about me possibly going to Iowa State and playing in the Big 12 but my mom is a little more hesitant."

Good grief... Nothing but love for moms everywhere, but it's time for your child to spread his own wings. He's worked hard to earn his opportunity - don't prevent him from chasing his dream.

He's listed on Rivals as a strongside DE. Theoretically, the 40 time is not as critical at that position as it is at rush end.

Why don't moms like ISU!!!

Playing in the Big12 trumps staying close to home. Remember that Dartwan!
Don't be the next Pooh Bear Mars.

Anyways, I think this guy would be a great pick up. A HS kid with great upside. I love how he gets off of blocks. A lot of HS guys just try and use their speed to run around blocks. He looks like the whole package and I agree, if he were 6'5, he sould have a ton more offers.

For those checking the links, the link with the Texas Top 300, the vast majority of the guys listed on that list are already committed and are 3,4,5* kids. For this kid to be on that list and not rated by rivals is suspect. Should he commit to the good guys, and the tape is reviewed, i would bet he would be a 2-3* kid.

I really hope we got Jared talking to him and convincing him to come to ISU!!!!!

A commit is always the best recruiter!!!!!
