For sure, but we don't control our destiny even if we won those. We'd need help from Florida, Alabama, and Duke losing. There are still big win opportunities before then. At UH, home vs AZ, and at KSU
Exactly what I was thinking. No chance an equally dominant Big 12 gets anything like thatJust imagine the previous decade totally dominated by Big 12 if the media were all b12 homers.

Yes, the Auburn win was very impressive. Tennessee is overrated though imo and that was in Gainesville.OOC was weak but they crushed Tennessee and Auburn on the road which are two wins way better than anything Houston has
Houston has hardly anything of note on their schedule. Won at Kansas and ???
Purdue got the nod over Iowa State because of better OOC wins, Alabama and Ole Miss while Iowa State just beat Marquette.
Sec overrated outside of Auburn
I dont know about that but I am really confused one why sites still think teams like Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma should be in the tournament.Sec overrated outside of Auburn

Five or 6 games under .500 in conference play doesn't cut it imo.
Well when the SEC and ESPN are butt buddies, that’s what you get. There was a year not long ago where we had 70% or 80% of teams in top 25 going into conference play and these media hacks are acting like no league has ever been this good. It’s BS.
Don't be a MPosted this in the general MBB season thread, intended to post here.
Hadn't gotten much chance to refer to the in-season bracket reveal.
ISU about where I expected.
Side note for fun, here's how the committee ranking compares to most recent AP ranking (some results today will shift the s-curve):
1
1 Auburn … 1
2 Alabama …2
3 Duke …3
4 Florida …4
2
5 Tennessee …5
6 Texas A&M …8
7 Purdue …7
8 Houston …6
3
9 Iowa State …10
10 Kentucky …15
11 Wisconsin …16
12 Arizona …13
4
13 Texas Tech …12
14 Michigan …20
15 Kansas …17
16 St. John’s …9
Highest ranked not in top 16:
Michigan State … 11
Memphis…14
Marquette…18
Missouri… 21
Mississippi State…22
They don’t have a marquee win yet either… The Vols are a bit of a paper tiger. This TN team, like usual, screams early potential upset to me by a team like Oregon in the 32 round.
Unfortunately this will happen more times than not to Iowa State. Look at the typical sweet 16 sites, the only ones close to us are KC and Minneapolis. Omaha hosted once but I believe they are a 1st/2nd round site moving forward. This would be the most Iowa State thing ever
Gotta think yesterday moves Purdue off the 2 line though. With as bad as the B1G is this year, you can’t lose a resume building win at home, those opportunities are pretty limited.OOC was weak but they crushed Tennessee and Auburn on the road which are two wins way better than anything Houston has

I would say a 20 point win over #5 Florida is a marquee win but the point is still valid. I don’t trust them. They don’t have a marquee win yet either… The Vols are a bit of a paper tiger.

Ill sign up for a bracket right now with:
1 seed - Bama
2 seed - Iowa State
3 seed - Purdue
