For one, we're on 2 line, instead of 3, making Milwaukee much more likely.
SMC/SDSU would be no cakewalk in R32, but I think I prefer ISU having potential "grind-it-out" type of game/opponent in that round compared to potential "can't match scoring pace.” Rebounding and turnovers could pose a challenge, but ISU needs to be in best-version form no matter what. Getting to second weekend "feels" favorable.
From there, several teams in the region have enough inconsistency on resume (UK, Illinois, Wake, Oregon, Missouri, MSU) I’d like our chances.
As we should be. Not saying Purdue and Wisconsin and A&M aren’t good but it’s clear we are better with Milan back and I think everyone is taking that into account now.

Very unlikely to be in a scenario where we are a 2 and Texas Tech is a 3. Committee forever had a rule that any teams from the same conference that were 1, 2, 3, or 4-seeds had to be in different regions. As conferences are now huge, this can no longer be followed perfectly. As an example, the SEC might have 6 of the top 16, but I do think when they have to put top-4 seeds from the same conference in the same regions, they'll try to set it up so they can't meet until the Elite 8. If we're a 2 or 3-seed, I could see Arizona being the 4 in our region for example.
The megaconferences are making some of the bracketing principles more challenge to follow, that's for sure.
Has bracket method had a notable update in the past several years? I'd have to think they're exploring change in a few methods, or else just will continue to adhere as closely as possible and deal with kinks when they arise.
I like the way he thinks. Creighton in 2nd round, too.
