I think the NBA is set up so that a lottery ticket at #3 isn't a bad move. It's so hard to win a championship with these superstars getting together, that it's probably better to take a 10% shot at another Hakeem rather than get an 100% shot at another Rudy Gay.

Not sure what the 76ers are thinking with Payton. They'll probably tank it again next year.
