I’d take High Life/Bait Shop over all the rest.
I agree but we’re going to need options up there. Might as well use a solid brand and just make it happen. If there’s a ******* Applebee’s or IHOP in Cytown I’m going to have a meltdown.

Yea, I should have mentioned I was assuming they would sell it. I think the city has made it pretty clear they aren’t going to make changes to the zoning for them to build a new station there. K & G had it listed on commercial sites for sale last year.Kum and Go has owned all of that property since 2013, but who knows if/when they'll finally move the gas station across the street.
Don't forget The Library
I haven't been in ages, but I didn't realize how desirable this place is!
LOL that they put this on the HTT instead of forcing their round peg into the square District. Great move. They are building in Ankeny also. Right on the High Trestle Trail. That place is going to have a license to print money.
A city cannot have too many good breakfast/brunch joints.
I realize they do more than that, but that's a niche thing that I'm glad they fill.
Agree. The Waterfront in Ankeny sucks compared to the original on University, I heard the Fong's there was bad too.Mullets is pretty good. A lot of it is the location on the bike path, The older unique building, the River right there, Right by Sec Taylor (Principle Park). It has everything. It's a cool joint. Wondering if they will just open a generic type version in Ankeny. I can't see it being as cool as the original.
Is it not owned by FCP any more?I haven't been there since it was owned by Full Court Press. Is the food now good or something?
