Gone is the best chance in two and a half decades to win a conference title... Gone is a 1 seed...

Seems to be an annual thing with the current system... Adding the tweet from Hammer that proves my suspension

In before someone tries to hand wave this as just a rough two game road trip and tells you how hard it is on the road in the B12. All while ignoring the fact that the slow starts and lack of energy against P4 teams goes back more than a month.

I’m sure we’ll be told we are overreacting all week but just watch the games. This isn’t a top 5 team in the league right now.

TJ and this staff just got outcoached by Wes Miller. That’s embarrassing.

We’ve tried the same offensive approach for 5 straight games with god awful first half results yet we keep trying apparently. Why?

Consistently shooting ourselves in the foot with slow starts (not to mention other issues). To be behind at the 10 minute mark of our last 8 power conference games is completely unacceptable.

Maybe we are just not that good. KU and bottom dweller CU seem way more athletic than ISU.

We don't have an elite head coach. He's hired great assistants that have carried him, but when they can't figure it out they have nowhere to turn. It’s been obvious for a while now. Green and the defense is why he have had the success we've had. I like TJ and think he's a good coach but he's not elite.
Is this the start of the rot?

This is the 4th year out of 5 that the team has collapsed in conference season. Still time to turn around this year, but that is what it is.
Yeah, that certainly looks like a well established trend at this point. Concerning that this seems to keep playing out the same way. Not learning from history it seems.

At this point I’m convinced TJs style of basketball is simply unsustainable for an entire season.

Every single year we look incredible until January/February and we are mediocre from then on out. The boys look tired. I think the way we play just wears them out and there’s no way to keep it going.

Yet again we get off to a horrible start and let a team build a nice big lead and then we do the same stuff to kill ourseleves - careless is the biggest issue with this team

If Buchanan, Heise, Toure, and Batemon are invisible offensively, Jefferson loses all effect (he can’t kick out to anyone that’s a threat). Jefferson forces too much as a result and starts turning the ball over and forcing attempts that aren’t falling for himself. So the no other threats, Milan can’t beat a team by himself.

The theme is the same each season for TJ, no real depth offensively when conference play starts.

Unfortunately, this team look poised to repeat the same old song and dance in March. Just envision a first half against Illinois in the Sweet 16 repeat…but who knows what round that happens in.

I’m glad they’ve shown us who they are again early in the season…it’ll save me a lot of grief later.

Get real, they’re college athletes it’s more so we have zero killer instinct and never have under TJ. He is a great coach but he rarely makes adjustments and is stubbotn
