I definitely find myself getting more excited for Eternals. This latest trailer definitely gave me enough of that boost where I won't watch any future trailers on it to avoid too many spoilers/content.

I know Feige is super proud of the Eternals movie and thinks really highly of it, so I'm sure it is pretty good. I was underwhelmed personally by previous trailers, but I'm going to avoid this one as I don't like watching too many trailers, as it starts to ruin my movie experience knowing too much.

I really enjoyed the 2nd What If episode. The first one was fine but basically felt like a retelling of Captain America. This felt like a totally new story which is more what I was expecting. Hearing Chadwick's voice made me sad though.

Saw What if...? E2 yesterday, and while I'm still not the biggest fan of the series, I will say that I at least liked this episode more than the first one. Mainly what it had going for it was that it felt less like a slightly altered retelling of the same story. Regardless, even though I liked E2 a little bit better, its going to be hard for this series to feel to me like anything more than filler until their next Disney+ installment. In their defense, I think deep down Feige even knows this series is somewhat just an inexpensive calendar place holder.

Different sized rocks make different sized ripples. The rock in the E1 ultimately wasn't that big compared the the E2, or we just haven't seen the full effect of it yet. The second season episode they are planning for Captain Carter is supposed to explore more of the fallout from the change.

The theoretical argument would be that the farther you are from the point of divergence, the broader that divergence is.

Episode One was set immediately after the point of divergence, so of course, the path would get broader the further away it gets.

Episode Two was some twenty or more years later then the point of divergence, so the path shifted more significantly.

The personalities involved are another factor.

Wife and I rewatched The Incredible Hulk for the first time in a decade tonight. That movie is much better than I remember or expected. Norton is a great actor and the set up of the characters works well. Seeing the teacher from the Spider-Man movies was wild as both of us yelled at the screen, which is exactly why we love the MCU.

Excited to see where things go in the future with the Hulk characters after watching that movie!

How is it that these trailers are a couple of notches better even than what I expected?

I mean, seriously. I make a point of not going to movies on their opening weekends, but clearly the 3rd/4th is going to be a Shang-Chi/Cyclone Football doubleheader for me.

Someone on Twitter pointed out that they managed (possibly) to get the Sinister Six and the Multiverse in one teaser. That's just crazy.

I'm thinking another job for a month or two just to save for continuous Spidey tickets. That should work.
