IRON FIST Stunt Coordinator Brett Chan Recalls Issues With Marvel Television, Directors, And Even The Cast
Iron Fist stunt coordinator Brett Chan (Warrior) has recalled the difficulties on working with Marvel Television on the Netflix series, shedding some light on those disappointing fight scenes...
Interesting interview with Iron Fist stunt coordinator talking about the disaster that was that show. While it was widely known at the time that Finn Jones came into S1 with pretty much zero fight training, it's interesting to get it confirmed that it really was because he refused to train. Talk about one of the biggest miscasts of all time. Not only was he a terrible actor, but the kid signs up for a kung-fu show and refuses to do the training needed to make it look good. I consider that a major fail on both sides. Such a waste. I also thought it was the perfect chance to cast an Asian-American actor in the role rather than the talentless wonder bread we got.
At least we are finally getting Shang-Chi, which looks to be about what we wanted to see with Iron Fist all along. The interesting thing is that Iron Fist is the more popular character, but will come out of all this the less popular one.
