Marty and Miller Meltdown

Agreed. I admit that I have only tuned in a handful of times so maybe I just don't have a fair sample, but from what I've heard, their product is absolute complete trash. I'm plain baffled by how uneducated and off base nearly every take I've ever heard from either of them is.

The day Campbell was hired I skimmed through their podcast to hear what they had to say, and they only spoke about it for about 5-10 minutes out of their 3 hour show. Everything they had to say was bashing Campbell, Pollard, and ISU fans. Maybe they are going for a Hawk tilted show. I guess I don't see how that is good for ratings when the Des Moines area is close to 50-50, but its their show.
 
Marty Tirrel went off after Ames High won their first state championship with HB and Doug, saying the only reason they win is because they have so much hype, Barnes is the teams only player, and simply breathing on him is a foul amongst the officials.

The following year, with virtually the same team MINUS D1 player and D-Leaguer Bubu Palo, Ames was ranked 12th in the nation, and just three games being decided by single digits (8, 9, and 9 point victories)

Said the Cyclone fans are complainers. Jamie Pollard showed no class in giving high fives and whooping it up after the game. Steve Prohm showed no class in his press conference. And hated on the team as well.

Said the Cyclones should have never stormed the Court.

What I think those 2 idiots, (Marty and Miller), are missing is that Iowa State was down the entire game and only led for 30 seconds in the first half and the last 9 seconds of the game. The emotion from being down the entire game and by 20 points in the 2nd half and then winning in the last seconds was what led to the impromptu storming of the court.

It was not that Iowa State beat Iowa.......It was the way in which we did it.

1700 am has hate speech racist radio in the morning, then these bozos in the afternoon. I won't ever listen to that channel again until they change their programming.
 
I would listen some after they got on the air together this summer, but gravitated towards KXNO. I really like the guests they bring on so I wanted to give them a chance. But whenever I would switch them on occasionally this fall the Hawk bias was too much. My final farewell to them was a few weeks ago when they were talking about Lazard and how great he would've looked playing for the Hawks. To me it's fine if you want to say that but then they started talking about how ISU was basically the worst program ever, always will be, and really is a joke of a program. They couldn't comprehend why an ISU fan growing up would want to play for ISU if he is good. I just don't understand the agenda. I don't know if they just realize they're a niche and want to play to the Hawk fans to further distinguish themselves from other hosts? Either way it's too much for me.
 
Those guys are dipshits. Best thing to happen to see Moines radio is when Miller left (feel badly for heather) so Williams could have a show! Miller and Marty Argentina huge ****** nozzles.
 
I'm not sure what I am enjoying more, the unforgettable come back win or the utter butt hurt from Hawk fans. Both are pretty awesome.

Marty needs to get back into the ticket brokering business and get Jon Miller some Rose Bowl tickets to sell Hawk fans. Would be hilarious when 1,000 tavern Hawks are standing outside the Rose Bowl with fake tickets that Jon Miller sold them that he got from Marty. One of Marty's many lawsuits was from a ticket broker in New Jersey that Marty screwed over. Not sure I would want to be on the bad side of a shady ticket broker from Jersey
 
Marty loves to get a rise out of listeners. He has no allegiance to Iowa or Iowa State, he's just going to ride whoever's coattails can get him a free trip to the next game or let him hob knob with well known people. He burned his bridges with ISU, so we make any easy target.

Last time I listened to M&M was back in September and Marty was interviewing Ed Podalak. Marty was bragging up to Ed that he was going to be at the Chiefs game the next weekend and was going to be there with some well known people. Marty said something to Ed that it was too bad he wasn't going to be at the game. Podalak then mentioned he was going to be at the game on the field as part of a celebration of one of his Super Bowl teams. Marty's reaction was priceless.

If you are a Cyclone fan and are ******** about Marty hatred for ISU, you might want to make your life a little better by stop listening. Gutter radio can only drag you down!!

Why do people listen to local sports radio, and then complain about local sports radio? Get a book on tape and stfu.
 
When a radio company gets rid of all the good talent, this junk is what is left. I have no idea how Marty has the balls to rip on others, since his life is such a mess.
 
It's comical to see people's true colors come out after this game. I mean, Hawk fans are totally ****** off and instead of talking about the game, they focus on the fact that 18-22 year old college students rushed the court. Now, I get most Hawk fans don't understand what it's like to have an alma mater outside of high school, but they really need to stop with the butthurt already. It was an exciting finish to a game where we struggling.
 
I will agree that I wish we didn't rush the court, but it's definitely not something I'm losing sleep over. Hilton, and Cyclone Alley were both amazing experiences in my college career. Morgan never gave us a reason to rush the court if I remember correctly, so I must admit I'm some what jealous.
 
Yeah, this Hate Talk in the morning, then piggy-backing onto asinine 'sports talk' in the afternoon, portents to a new level of Stupid, even for Des Moines A.M. radio.

You can advise people "just don't listen," of course, but the problem is, there are a certain number of Stupids who not only do listen, but allow themselves to be affected by it.
