Malik Monk (friendly reminder that this thread is 2 years old)

I wouldn't be surprised if he reached out to ISU and said he was interested. I'd imagine he is a hopeful one and done. Why wouldn't he want to come play in the same backcourt as then senior Monte Morris who will likely be one of the best point guards in the country. Monte Morris and Malik Monk has a nice ring to it.

I'm going to the printer to get my giant sign made right now.

Do most people assume he's going to Arkansas because his brother went there, he's from Arkansas, moved to Bentonville, etc? Just doing some light Googling and I didn't find any quotes or anything from him that made me think there was an obvious Arkansas lean.

Just curious.

I had never heard of this kid prior to yesterday. Hopefully the in-home went well and Fred can get him on campus.

obivously the kid is good, however, at the end of the video when he hits the game winner, he has teammates wide open(he's double teamed).

My only critique and that it's mostly dunks, though the video title tells you it's showing off his athleticism. At ISU, he'll have teammates he'll trust in that situation so he doesn't chuck up stuff like that.

I said the same thing to myself, those shots were really dumb. And if I was his teammate I think I wouldn't be too happy with him taking those, but he did make them.....

the 2nd to last game winner, he had no choice but to shoot, so that's not on him.

The last one I would be ****** if I were in the teammates shoes. 2 wide open guys on the wings.

I think it's fairly obvious that the play was just for him to take that shot no matter what. And the other team knew it. He's just that much better than everyone else on the floor.

He's the #6 recruit in the country for 2016. No need to over-analyze the highlights.

Yet Fred has always said, if you're feeling it, take the shot.

I also think it's fairly obvious that this is High School basketball and no one gives a ****. His teammates can go suck a fat one until they are the #6 ranked recruit in the country.

Yep, I thought the same thing, however, he'll have a lot more weapons to share with when he's at ISU. I'm guessing he's just that much better, that he trusts himself more than anyone else on this team.

A high school kid took an ill-advised shot.

Don't want.

This board delivers.
