This is going to be fun!

Thursday and Friday are going to be insane with all of these games. The ND / Wisconsin game is the only one that might get a little dull.

going on 14-2 run with 30 seconds left. You dont think thats lucky?

In my mind, aTm made it happen. I suppose you could think of it as lucky that UNI was completely shut down by their press and couldn't figure out what to do, to the point that they got almost all of those points by way of layups right under the basket.. but there certainly wasn't luck running against UNI, they just got beat.

Don't get me wrong, I feel for them.. by all means they should have won that game. To not be able to figure out what to do against that press, that's both a player and coaching failure. I understand why it was a tough press.. UNI was slightly shorthanded and trying to hang in there against a team that was FAR athletically superior to them. Plus they didn't have any timeouts so Jacobsen couldn't draw anything up, but still.

Watching the last :44 of that game again it's almost unbelievable to see how badly UNI played every possession, it's almost hard to watch even as a neutral. They were so afraid of fouling they played no defense, it looked like nobody outside of Bohannon had ever inbounded the ball against a press in their lives or even seen it done for that matter. Washpun and Jesperson couldn't even throw the ball and hit an opponent standing right next to them.

Just watched from half to the end. I don't think there was enough contact to call a foul on Jesperson but because they called it they should have probably called the foul when Washpun was pinned in the corner for the trap because the defenders literally bumped him out.

Regardless, there was a stretch from just under 7 minutes to the timeout around 4:30 where Washpun killed possession after possession by holding the ball and settling for poor shot selection. Morgan, who had a hell of a game, did the same thing in second OT. UNI needed to keep the rhythm going on offense, especially if you're not going to play transition defense at all like that.

Just watched the last few minutes of the UNI game. I feel bad for them. They were so close to getting rid of aTm.

I still cannot believe they lost it. But the moment they stopped playing to win, is when they lost.
