No it doesn't. I have DTVNow and because you don't have LHN as part of your package, you don't get access to it through WatchESPN.

And I totally disagree with people saying ESPN made a mistake here. This is EXACTLY what they wanted. They've been having issues with carriers dropping LHN outside of Texas. Putting a game between two ranked teams on the network is a great way to try to open up carriage agreements again. Actually a really smart business move.

Like I said with the free week trial you can sign up for any level of the DirecTV now it doesn't matter because you're cancelling it after the game anyway so you're not paying a penny I already tested it and I have access to the Longhorn Network right now

Many bars have media companies as well for the very reason to carry the cyclone.network games

Iowa cubs did itnfor.Chicago cubs at principal park and was a huge hit

I can confirm that I am getting LHN through ESPN app with my DirecTV Now login. They are showing the Texas MBB game right now.

I wish local ABC affiliates (since ESPN and ABC are the same company) would be given the option to simulcast the game on one of their alternate OTA channels, like 5-2 or 5-3.

Where are you located? From some other forums, LHN is only on DirectTVNow if you are in an area where that is the regional sports network (RSN). In central Iowa, the RSNs are listed as FSMidwest and NBCSports-Chicago.

I live in Altoona and I am able to watch LHN via the ESPN app with my DirectvNow login. I believe you are good as long as you have the tier that gives you RSNs.

Any thoughts for how I can watch it on an All Nippon Airways flight from Japan? I'm assuming they will offer a wifi purchase option. I got spooked by C-Dub's post which referred to it being available "nationally."

1. $ - Bars generally (or at least they're supposed to) pay a premium for these types of events. UFC/Pay-Per-View events cost bars significantly more than if you or I were to buy them. This is to make up for all of the people watching for free.
2. See #1. Most bars get around this though and it's easier with something like an add on package you can delete the second the game is over. Also, a lot of them do it illegally. A bar like BWW can't get away with scamming DTV because they're a national chain. Keg Stand could probably get away with it because a lot of times their subscriptions are under an individuals name instead of a business name.
3. ICubs hosted an open house that night and happened to be showing the game on their screen. That was their work around.

Any advice on how not to get 1,000 viruses with this approach?

-turn on ad blocker
-you'll still get from 0-3 pop up windows (which open in new tabs). close them
-there will be ads overlaying the videw with little "x's". sometimes there is a big fake "x" and a tiny little "x" hidden. That way they trick you into clicking on an additional pop up ad.
-don't download anything. ever.
-don't log into anything or create an account. ever.
-you'll have to wait until kickoff (typically) for the stream to work
-each stream will say the quality, if it is mobile compatible and how many ad overlays there are
-it is a risky endeavor as there may/may not be a working stream come game time, but typically there are streams for every game imaginable. This one concerns me though as it is on such an obscure channel.

PsVue has it on sportspack. Should be able to trial of for free if you don't want to pay.

Pretty sure you would have to pay $10 to add the sports pack to your free trial to get LHN, it isn't on any of the base packages

DirectTV Now is the way to go, I signed up for the trial and then signed in the WatchESPN App and it gives access to watch LHN!!!
