CMC is giving us more consistent winning than anyone, especially in conference. The issue is we should have a lot more wins in his tenure. There were a lot of winnable games that we couldn't get, some against lessor opponents. I don't think anyone is really upset with the job CMC is doing here, but they are frustrated that in most years we should have a couple of more wins. This year for example, we should have won 9. Plus, the Iowa game has been frustrating, most years we outplay them but make mental mistakes on special teams or turnovers to give Iowa the game. Even when we beat them 10-9, that score should have been more like 20-3.

We are tired of playing you guys in the Liberty Bowl as well. We have only been to the Liberty Bowl twice, had to play you guys both times.

we now need the Independence Bowl to complete the venerable old bowl but not quite power level series lol

All you need to do is watch Purdy’s first and last games against Oklahoma to see that he regressed during his time here. It’s night and day.
I wonder if Brock wishes he could have just skipped college and been drafted in like the 3rd round out of high school, rather than regressing to the last pick in the draft? Bummer for him I guess.

He probably just wishes them he, Hall, and the other players got the credit they deserve for the work they did for free, rather than the guy who gets paid $4M a year but can’t manage a live football game.

^^ 4 million? some of our fans want Silverfield gone but we're not going to get better than him for 1.75 million and thats the best we can do while turning a tiny profit off football. It's sad, all we need is a power conf type check (hell even double what we get...7 million) and we could take off.

After 8 years, Campbell is what the record says he is; a slightly above .500 coach (53W 48L).
He can take a team like this year with many new faces and a significant loss of starters, go to a bowl game and finish 7-6.
He can take a preseason top 10 team with 3 All Americans and finish 7-6.
He's an average in game coach.
He's an above average developer of players.
He's a below average recruiter.
Nothing more, nothing less.
