I'm not a female announcer hater. I think the woman who does the 76ers games is one of the better ones in the NBA. Sorry, I don't know her name. I like Brenda Van Lengen who does WBB and Kyndra St. Aubin who is the MNUFC color person. But I do not like Beth Mowins...at all.
I tried finding an injury report earlier today, and all I found was articles preceding their last game. I've heard that they're pretty banged up at a lot of positions, but I'd like more details too.
From what I can gather, Gundy is just as tight lipped about injuries as Campbell. Not surprising, considering Gundy is one of the coaches Campbell admires.
We have never won with a female announcer calling the game, at least the last 5 I can think of. Hope that streak ends.
I listened to part of that podcast I linked above. I have no idea. Apparently their QB situation is beyond a cluster ****. Gundy said his son was the #2 then when sanders went down (he also apparently played him when he was hurt and shouldn’t have) he started a true freshman over his son and blamed it on the “talk” related to him if he was to start his son. Total mess.
I don’t think most are. It’s just she sounds like she is trying to come off as “sports broadcaster voice” it seems very contrived and manufactured. The way she says “yards” is painful.
The men who call games all have a contrived "sports broadcaster voice". Listen to the 2 Chris's podcast on Iowa everywhere and then listen to Chris Hassel call a game. You wouldn't even think they're the same guy.
Did a little recon. Okie st fans do not at all expect sanders to play. They think Gundy is trying to get him healthy to have a chance in Bedlam. Regardless, we won’t know who will be the QB because Gundy isn’t an idiot and will hold those cards till he has to play them.
I thought the same thing when I heard his call on a game a couple weeks ago - had to listen again to see if it WAS actually him.
