I agree. I honestly have no idea how Michigan State is anything better than a 9 right now. Losing 7 of 9 for a basically any other team and they're playing in Dayton.
I knew they had struggled down the stretch but was shocked to see them on that 7 line.

Michigan is at an 11 seed with a NET of 34 and 4-10 in Quad 1 wins. Michigan State is 6 spots back at 40 with one less Quad 1 loss. Only thing that separates them is Quad 2 with MSU being at 7-1 and Michigan being at 4-2.

3 more Quad 2 wins doesn't seem like it should be a four seed line jump. Especially when the committee has shown to overvalue the Quad 1 wins.

No matter how you want to slice and dice it, ISU has had some horrible losses in Hilton again this year. That last one was super painful and probably dropped them a couple seeds. If they can keep from getting blown out tomorrow they will not drop any further. They look like a 8-9 seed at this point.
We’ve played horrible in Hilton and have lost games because of that. We don’t have a single “bad” loss this year.

Actually it hasn't. Palm has us a 6 seed still following that loss Lunardi dropped us from 7 t0 8. Other bracket experts haven't dropped us much either at all, some saying 'their wins are just still better than other teams so you can't drop them'

We’re likely going to end up a 7 or 8 seed. We’d have to win the next two or make the the Big 12 championship game to move up to a 6. Would have to get clobbered in the next two to drop to a 9.

I think we're a low 7 now. Losing Saturday at Baylor won't move us. A win would put us back to 6 though.

Lose at Baylor
Win 1st game in KC
Lose in semis

That's my prediction as of today.

I think we'd end up a 7

Yeah, I agree with 7. I could see dropping to 8 if the next two games don't go well and other teams make some moves.

Palm raised us up to the 6 line. Think he might have some insight to what the committee is looking hard at this year? Can you guess what it is?

We've been on his six line all week. Iowa has always been low for him always as well. He also has teams like Houston lower than most and Providence higher than most which I agree with. I don't know if it's so much he has insight rather than he saw the Top 16 the committee put out and it's clear that Q1 wins matter. If that's true...Iowa State is 100% a 6 seed. Period. Even with that ****** loss this week. No team in the 6-11 seed range trumps us on that. And we have no bad losses.

Now. Whether he's right or not is another story.

Exactly. We don't have to guess what the committee values. Go watch the top 16 reveal segment. The guy mentioned Q1 wins for every team as they were being announced. Houston was not a top 4 seed despite sterling metrics.

Our 9 Q1 wins are going to overwhelm a lot of comparisons between teams in the 6-9 seed lines.

I think we're a 7 right now. We won't drop below an 8. 8-9 are the same anyway.

Speaking of UNI game-- Kelly Self is reffing.

Also, new bracketology from Lunardi

8 seed but he has us playing Creighton so he's a moron b/c committee will not do a rematch, especially first round.

A lot of bracketologists - especially those who update daily - don't incorporate bracketing restrictions into their brackets until their final bracket of the season. I can't say as I blame them because that is a lot to juggle.
