I took the premise of this thread to be players who are instantly equated to a singular performance. So to me that excludes many of the star players who have been mentioned here because while they have had some really good performances most people don't just think of one of them.

Of the ones listed I think that probably these would hit the mark:

Lafester - Iowa 50+ point game
Marv - Nebraska win
Gary Thompson - Wilt game
Kock - Dan's last game - Missouri
Neal - Iowa win

and maybe:

Woody - #2 OSU upset
Ejim - Balling against TCU
Shaggy - 5 FGs to beat Iowa

and a new one:

Dave Osenbaugh upsetting Lou Banach by fall to secure the win over #1 Iowa.

Dave Osenbaugh is a great one. I live out of state, and no one believes me when I tell them we used to pack Hilton for dual wrestling meets against Iowa. I get goose bumps thinking of that pin.
