I still say 2 offensive and 2 defensive plays (dropped pass for TD didn't help either.) cost KU the game against ISU. Looks like AD trying to protect his asserts.

Montgomery was rested so long during the KU game that people were making up that they saw him get injured.
It cost KU a chance to be even in the game. It didn’t cost them the game. Big difference.
Kansas really needs to think outside of the box. I wonder if KU would consider going after Art Briles.
I had a KU fan tell me they have two seasons: Basketball season, and basketball recruiting season. He meant it.

For gods sake. They weren’t going to win.
Kansas was bad but if you take away the two big plays to Hakeem, we really didn't dominate from just a yardage standpoint. Their top two RB's rushed for 149 yards. But.... I do feel we were not all that motivated coming in especially playing in front of a small unmotivated crowd.
If you take away all of our TDS and FGs we didn’t even score! Concerned!
THIS. We would have lost to WVU if it weren't for 5 plays. Lost to TTU if not for 6 plays.
KU is so far down. Maybe even worse than ISU in 1993. They need their own Danny Mac.
Someone to come in, do a decent job coaching , and focus on:
a) building a foundation including culture, facilities, boosters, etc
and
b) building some excitement somehow - the occasional upset, have Self make appearances, anything.
But that guy needs to be given as long as possible (6+ years) and also needs to be a relentless optimist.
Anything else is just rinse & repeat...

NC State guy has to be the guy KU goes all out for. He is from suburbs of Joco, went to Bishop Miege in O.P. and was on the KU staff. Think he played his college ball at Drake.
I wonder if they will look at the Northern Illinois coach. He has done really well there.
I agree they should go after him, but he would be crazy to take it. He has a team in the top 25 right now, and looking at their schedule they could find their way to a 10 win season.
This KU job is a career killer in every sense. I don't see anyone turning it around in less than 4 years, and KU hasn't shown any interest in giving anyone any longer. The facilities suck, the fan support sucks, the roster sucks, the recruiting class doesn't even exist. And even if you manage to get the program back to bowl contention, you are still a distant second to the basketball program.

Yeah, I agree. At this point, I don't think you hope for the home run shot. You just hope for someone to advance the ball in the right direction, and if they move on, they move on.
