Here's what I don't get. I live in WV. Sad. I know, but it is what it is. That aside, they're take away from their loss to us is 'how bad they played'. All the things on this thread is about how bad KU is. Could it be that we're just that good? Despite, having glaring holes? We were the better team vs WV. We were the better team than KU. Nuf said.

He also won 5 games in 4 years and wasn’t showing improvement in other aspects besides wins (e.g. he got blown out in as almost as many games in his third year as in his first). I don’t Kansas needs to worry about not being patient.
People aren’t looking at it from the larger overview. Kansas shouldn’t accept being a doormat. Beaty didn’t have them to an acceptable spot by any means. That said Kansas is a dumpster fire facilities wise, fan support wise, and team wise. Fair or not they have a bad reputation in coaching circles for how they treat their coaches. That’s one of the reasons they had to hire Beaty in the first place.

Beaty wasn’t going to take them to the next level but you had to give him time and erase the bad culture with the Turner Gill and Charlie Weiss regimes.

As it is what coach would take that job. I think it probably has to be someone with Kansas connections or someone who is a really long ways from a P5 job

I remember the end of the Walden years at ISU being like this. Scant fan support. That kills budgets. Sad and feel bad for their players. They deserve better support than that.

If they were smart they would look at Candle at Toledo

I hope Candle stays there for a while. He would be my first choice to replace CMC. Hate even talking about that, but everyone in the media is. Got to think one of the high profile jobs is going to come open, and they will go after him.

Maybe they are trying to get a jump on a new hire. With only one recruit so far in next year's class they are way behind already. With the normal new coach attrition and the number of seniors starters they had things could be pretty bad at KU for several more years.

Curious as to why you want him? 5-4 this season and like Rhoads, hasn't shown he can do it with his own players.
