Curious as to why you want him? 5-4 this season and like Rhoads, hasn't shown he can do it with his own players.

Guess I really have not paid attention to Toledo this year. Seems like they were pretty good the last two years. I just feel that ISU needs to have someone in that coaching chain that know how to maintain the "Process" going forward.

Ehhh...there were rumors that he left on less than good terms last year.

If we have to replace Campbell, I think our pick will depend on where he goes. If Campbell goes to the Browns, I highly doubt that they will let him bring in his entire staff. In that case, I think you try to keep the current staff together. If he goes to Ohio State, Campbell might be able to bring most everyone with him. In that case, you follow the same plan and go hire some guy who will bring everyone he knows.

For what it's worth, the Kansas equivalent of WideRight took Candle off their wish list.

Like......Heacock?
So... we don't want Candle as he is not proven enough with his own guys but Heacock did prove he could not win with anything but Jim Tressel's players at a blueblood 1AA power?

I LOVE Heacock as our DC. He should command another raise IMO. I do not wish to anoint him as the next ISU HC regardless of situation.

The good news is I don't think MC is going anywhere.

Not that i want KU to succeed but if I’m their AD I’m looking at guys that have proven they can turn around a terrible program.

Examples:
Chris Creighton - Eastern Michigan
Jeff Monken - Army
Seth Littrell - North Texas

I like the Army coach, Jeff Monken. KU needs a gimmick, and the option game would give it to them, With the right QB, it could work. Instead of trying to do what everyone else is doing, sometimes it is better to instead do what they are not doing. It was no fluke when Army took OU into OT earlier this season, and Georgia Tech has terrorized the ACC with it for many years.

Does this help or hurt KU's chances in Manhattan this coming weekend? Beaty's team has been salty of late, so my first thought is that it will help.

I think the players actually like Beaty, so if that’s the case, I’d imagine it would help their chances, as maybe they are going to play with that extra vindication.

That Les Miles to KU rumor is really heating up. That would really shock me. I’m not sure that would work out anyways.
