NFL: Kansas City Chiefs Thread

He hates the Chiefs, especially Kelce. That's why you can lay on top of him, push his head in the ground, and he gets the penalty.

Kelce called him out after the playoff loss years ago, IIRC against the Steelers.

Since then, KC has something like only a .500 record when he refs them.
Wow, that is crazy. I didn't know that.

Haha yep - Footlocker. And Kelce was right. The ref has a documented history - by the way favorites are only 14-30 against the spread in his games. That’s quite a trend. Many think he is either on the take, or has a clear bias (even if unconscious) to favor the underdog with his calls.

He is corrupt. And clearly has it in for the Chiefs.
I'd be just as upset if he was equally as biased against the Broncos, Bears, Patriots, or Falcons.

It is insulting that he is allowed to continue to work in that capacity. Many fine young people would do a better and fairer job.

For many people, especially working class, NFL football is one of the only simple joys they have in life. They deserve to at least see their teams given a fair shot.

Favorites are 14-30 against spread with him… a large portion of that is the Chiefs but he’s got a clear pattern.

I saw almost one quarter of Chiefs penalties this year have been called by Cheffers in the 2 games he has done.
That’s insane.
Their crew has called on average 86 penalties on NFL teams the past few years but against the chiefs is like 140 or something like that.
And as others mentioned underdogs cover 70% of the time he refs.

Refs have allowed Mahomes to take a beating this year without it being called, the one yesterday when he was flung down by the neck is a perfect example of what should be a penalty if the refs are trying to protect the QB.

I knew nothing about the Cheffer reffing situation how does the NFL not do something about it. Preferably can the guy but at least don't let him ref Chief games in the play offs.

Cheffers called this a Roughing The Passer penalty. Notice how late the flag comes in.

I was watching the game live and Aikman really got worked up about and as they kept replaying it pointed out that Jones even came down trying not to put his full weight on Carr so how can you call that roughing when he couldn't have sacked him any better than that. Jones is a big dude so was impressive he was able to not just fall on him hard with all the momentum of his weight.

The NFL really needs to revaulate what is roughing the passer as it seems like there is more of it being called lately on plays that are not roughing. Can't get to the point where a guy is scared to go after a sack because they fear it's going to result in a penalty.

Defense played great until the last drive, and then they had three penalties starting with a holding call, when they had the drive stopped.
Offense has struggled at the start, but got rolling in the 2nd quarter. Need to shut them down on their first drive and go down and score again.

Go Chiefs.
