The last time England and Argentina played a competitive non-friendly match was in the 2002 World Cup when Beckham scored a penalty after our very own Pochettino committed a foul

You know, as much as I abhor the amount of questionable (at best) calls Argentina has gotten against Cape Verde and Egypt the last couple of rounds, especially in regards to the misuse of VAR, the amount of people online whining about the yellow-turned-red against the Swiss player are outright disregarding that was actually the correct call made. Yeah, it put the Swiss down a player right after they scored a goal... guess the player already holding a yellow card in the game shouldn't have simulated a foul by taking a dive. In this instance, Switzerland has no one but themselves to blame.

I feel like something needs to be done with VAR though. Every single time a goal is scored, I don’t even bother getting excited about it because it feels like half the time it’s taken away.

I get looking to see if anyone was offside, but now it feels like they can also look back at everything leading up to the goal, like 10 seconds ago to see if there might have been a foul on anyone?

College football has become a little bit like that too for me. ISU will score
