When they replace the nez screen they should just put the current one on the other side facing the tailgate lots. I'm sure that would be easy and require no engineering at all.
I’m sure that Mid-American Energy would not agree to that because they are paying $25M for the stadium naming rights which is going towards the SPC. Also, that could discourage some people from buying game tickets. When they replace the nez screen they should just put the current one on the other side facing the tailgate lots. Last I knew it was private (Tantara Trucking in Muscatine, IA) that was the "official" hauler of Hawkeye football, but IIRC there was some disagreement between them last year so that might be changed for this season. I would see these ugly trucks in town all the time over here.Did the university own that or did they buy it off of the guy who used to drive it?

I'll give credit to that trucking company for standing up against the racist behavior and dropped the Hoks transport needs.Last I knew it was private (Tantara Trucking in Muscatine, IA) that was the "official" hauler of Hawkeye football, but IIRC there was some disagreement between them last year so that might be changed for this season. Decker does it right!Since this thread has already gotten slightly derailed with "rival" football trucks, I thought it would be appropriate to post this pic of a really “sweet” looking semi!

Field naming rights.....still JTSI’m sure that Mid-American Energy would not agree to that because they are paying $25M for the stadium naming rights which is going towards the SPC. Also, that could discourage some people from buying game tickets.
And…how long is that contract?I’m sure that Mid-American Energy would not agree to that because they are paying $25M for the stadium naming rights which is going towards the SPC. Also, that could discourage some people from buying game tickets.
I believe 10 years. And…how long is that contract?
So…about the same time we’ll be getting a new video board.I believe 10 years.

Interesting to see who can’t get a joke. Did I really need another jimlad?I’m going to go out on a limb here, and say that the pattern in the sod isn’t a result of how the blades were leaning after being unrolled. Not after all these weeks, and certainly not after being mowed.
Based on my extensive experience (jimlad) as a student lab and field assistant in the Agronomy Department for a whole year thirty years ago, I’m going to say that if the two grasses are the same strain, then one set of rolls was taken from a plot with more fertile soil than the other.
That’ll even out over time, as the sod takes root in the richer soil beneath. What was the word for it? Ah yes—“amended”.
In the meantime, take a closer look. It struck me a bit ago. What we actually have here is an amended, undulating agronomical Jack Trice Stripes sculpture—the retaining wall is the “bottom”
How fitting!

So…about the same time we’ll be getting a new video board.
That's impossible. We were all told that they didn't put enough water on the new sod in the extreme heat. Next you're going to try to tell us that an ag school knows how to grow grass.
So did the Cyclones join the National League or the American League? And all it will say is "Game blacked out in your area."
Exactly. Can't come soon enough so we can get that damn logo off the board and the field. We won't need their money by then. So…about the same time we’ll be getting a new video board.
