Exactly. Can't come soon enough so we can get that damn logo off the board and the field. We won't need their money by then.

we will always need “their” money. They helped us out when we needed it. How many companies were lined up to fork over that kind of cash for ISU Football - at the time?

I was just thinking, another field rights cash influx would probably erase whatever remaining COVID debt note nicely. Just not such prominent signage, please.

Since this thread has already gotten slightly derailed with "rival" football trucks, I thought it would be appropriate to post this pic of a really “sweet” looking ride!

Remember when they painted the field to match our uniform colors last year? Well let's keep that going but in a similar fashion how cool would it be to be able to switch out some of the graphics on the football truck to match our uniforms each week! We'd be real innovators.

Didn't get a screenshot of it, but how would you like to be the guy that gets told to drag a backpack leaf blower all the way up to the top of the upper deck and then spend the entire day walking back and forth on top of concrete and aluminum bleachers in Ames, in July, blowing trash down to the next level.
For his next act, watch him power wash the dirt off all the walkways when the construction guys are done.

Would be cool to have the old screen face out somewhere just blasting season highlights, interviews, Iowa State football history docs, hit tape, pump up music towards the tailgate lots. Lol.

Nah. Highlights might work. Nobody wants another loud speaker mixing with their tailgate's music.

When they replace the nez screen they should just put the current one on the other side facing the tailgate lots. I'm sure that would be easy and require no engineering at all.

They have a big screen like this facing the tailgating lots at Oregon. Wildly popular with everybody. I do not see it affecting ticket purchases that much (if at all) while significantly improving the tailgate atmosphere. Imagine re-running some of the magical moment games Okla StateWoody game or the 2000 Insight Bowl or Fiesta Bowl. HUGE net positive at Oregon.

If they are going to build a Power & Light-like entertainment district this would be start. And, if it does affect ticket sales shut it down when the game starts.

Iowa State isn't in the game for the luxuries at this point in time. Oregon has a single donor who can throw around more cash than Iowa State's entire donor base. Not exactly a fair comparison.

If and when the video board comes down it'll go to a different facility for usage there.

Exactly. Naming rights should be off the table. Just take out an ad in the game program or something,

Are they installing a new ribbon board above east end of marching band bleachers?
Nothing in the renderings seen to suggest that but it certainly looks like could be a ribbon screen doesn't it?

It is something they are installing in small sections with a crane so I bet it is a video board. Nice.
