Not sure where I missed the announcement... But the Albaugh Family Plaza and Stark Performance Center have names on the Iowa State Parking website
Do you think this may be an exterior facing ribbon board?

It's nice the sports performance center is named the Stark Performance Center so we can still refer to it as the SPC!

My guess is they just did a cut and paste on that graphic.
A ribbon board would be neat there on game day as people are coming in to the stadium.

If we can see them does that mean they're running them? I wonder if it's just a test. Looking closely at the NE hillside one can see a series of white dots that appear to be the sprinkler heads.

Did the old hillsides have sprinklers installed? If not, it looks like they plan on keeping these new hillsides in much better shape. That, along with better slopes/views should translate into a superior hillside experience!

It's hard to see on the camera but there are a bunch of light pole footings/pedestals already installed. I imagine those will be individual lights and not strings like the renderings, but I suppose it's still possible.
I believe the last rendering pollard tweeted showed some lighting elements (on poles I think) around the grass areas.
Reducing wear and tear on the paved areas? Form support? Something like that I would guess. Or, maybe they need that dirt in place and settled before working on the Trice stripes? I think those will end up right around there.
Also, I'm just like whoever said it above and only noticed that sculpture in the renderings recently. Holy smokes do I like the looks of it.

And, if this is the most recent rendering, then I'm sad that the stripes sculpture is no longer in the plans. Darn.
They became much more visible after all the rain we had awhile back. I think the rain may have washed away some of the soil?
I did notice some wet areas the day they put the lines in. Whatever the case is, they need to install that sod soon to give it maximum time to get established (as well as giving a more finished look for recruits).
Just noticed they're starting to put down top soil on the NW hillside this morning.
So the concrete doesn't get tire marks.
And at the very end of the article, there was mention of the gateway bridge. Article mentions no major construction on the bridge until after the FB season.
