@IASTATEAD: Grass parking lots for Saturday may not be available due to rain. Watch for further updates & alternatives from our staff over next day.

Although Ed Wilson says they will be fine:
@EdWilsonWX13HD: @IASTATEAD much less rain tomorrow and it looks, dry for game on Saturday. Still muddy on the grass lots Saturday.

On an unrelated note, anyone else catch that John Sears was the "Cyclone Insider" on the newscast last night--huh?!

I bet they cancel grass lots...wet earlier this week, soaked today. 4x4 trucks, busses, etc could do A LOT of damage to them for the season.

I think I will rely on my parking info from JP rather than Ed Wilson. Just like how he offered his opinion, because he would have lots of influence on that decision.

Which is exactly why the grass lots would be closed, no?

What was Wilson getting at with this?

Made me want to puke!

Side note - this is why we finally upped our donation to park in paved lots. There was one year that the grass lots were not available for 3 of the 6 games...

I hope he offers somewhat of an alternative for folks. Trust me, he wants those lots open as bad as we do. That's a lot of cash at 20 bucks a pop.

Hopefully they don't close the grass lots! I can only remember them closing G7 once (2009?), and they let about 15 cars in before they closed it. Luckily our 4 vehicles were the first ones in the lot and they didn't kick us out.

I'd be worried about the assigned grass lots before the public lots. With donations, those are more than $20 a pop.

Season opener for UNI a few years back the grass lots were closed. Parked at Kmart and walked. Had done that before but not with a 3 and 1 year old. Won't do that again

Good point. Maybe more lots on campus open up. Otherwise, I don't know what the plan will be or if people just have to fend for themselves.

I'd bet on parking at the MU or the bigger lots on campus and CyRide being used to move people back and forth.

It bites the big one when grass lots are closed. Really reduces the pregame festivities for many. There wa more than one game during a season not long ago, that lots were closed. We ended up parking/tailgating at PEB parking lot on campus for the UNI game that year. . Definately not the same experience.

It sucks balls when they close the lots. I remember the 2009 UNI game, and luckily we got relocated spots, but it was in no way, shape or form a place able to be tailgated in
