I don't know why, but Lanning seems like a guy that will RS this year, then sit on the bench next year noticing he probably may not get playing time in the near future at QB....and end up transferring to Iowa for his So, Jr and Sr year, because he is a Hawk fan by heart anyway. You took my post wrong. I'm not saying he sucks. I'm actually hoping he turns out to be great and ends up starting next year, but this is just my gut feeling.

i don't know if he's athletic enough to play any other position, if nothing else he gives a good backup option.

To the original point, without knowing all the context having a cannon would be pretty far down on my list of qualities to have in a quarterback.

It would hardly be fair for Rhoads to even consider moving someone after 3 practices.

Hopefully it works out for him at QB, but if not, does anyone know what kind of speed he has? He seemed like a really good running QB, so I can't imagine he's all that slow. Too slow for the secondary, but what about a LB spot?

It will be Richardson's senior year that you are saying he's transferring? The kid will be a redshirt sophomore and not starting when we have a potential 3 year starter on the roster.
