JEFFERSON Staying Confirmed

Fizer was 3rd-team All Conference and the Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 1998. The team was bad that year but hard to say he wasn't great by freshman standards.

Jefferson is the first cyclone ever to have multiple triple doubles in his career.
And did I hear correctly that he is the first Big 12 player to have multiple triple doubles in conference play?

I thought I heard that but didn't think that could be possible.

EDIT: I guess it is true. Before this year the only Big 12 players with more than one trip doub were David Harrison (NU, Stetson) and Kevin McCullar (Chaminade, Kentucky).

Before this year ISU had seven of the 22 all time Big 12 triple doubles - almost a third of them. I believe AJ Dybantsa is the only player to have one this year other than JJeff who has 2. So now ISU has 9 of 25 or 36%.

Speaking of David Harrison, I was watching some of the Kansas/Colorado game last night and every time I saw the widebody #50 for Colorado I kept thinking of David Harrison. Yes, I know neither David nor his brother DJ wore #50.

And no mention of the Harrison brothers can be made without the classic Larry Eustachy quote about Homan getting ejected for coming off the bench to get between Larry and the Harrison brothers, "I'm just glad that I have Homan as my bodyguard. He came off that bench like somebody stole his cow."
