If true, I feel downright horrible for Lipsey. He is an ELITE college point guard. He deserves better. He is too classy of a kid and was raised too well to leave. Id genuinely root for him if he left.

We could start a non ISU affiliated minor league basketball team in Ames. I’m sure fans would round up 6 million in donations to pay the players directly before ticket prices.

Chiz is living a good life. He's got a ring and millions of dollars. It's not like he flamed out totally at Auburn either just couldn't replicate the success he had the year he had Cam. TBH most people don't win Nattys even when they have a talent like Cam. Most of CPRs good players were Chiz recruits anyway. Mac had the program in the ground when he left. At the least Chiz came in and was the sacrificial lamb in the rebuild process. He could have went elsewhere. He had zero ties here ill never hold it against him for leaving.

No more than it should be for us to donate to our high school alma maters. Paying these players seems to be where we draw the line. Id have done anything to not have to have paid for college. People who sit in the arena circle and even the parquet live in a different world than the average fan.

I like that the players are getting paid but there needs to be rules in place so that teams with the most money are not getting a huge advantage. Put in a salary cap and a limit on how much an individual player can make. They would still make money and get a free education.

I can't even afford to go to games, which sucks. Been to 1 ISU basketball game in my life, and the last football game I went to was when Troy Davis was a freshman.

I agree 100%. I think setting up the rules and regulations may take a decade or better though. We all hate the direction this has gone but can't fault the players and even coaches for improving their lives

I am not delusional in thinking some basketball player of my favorite team will be loyal to my team. The ones that are loyal are some of my favorites of all time.
