Rose would have had Wade and Andrews as S&C coaches though, right? I do recall frustration from fans from both of those guys, and generally positive feedback from fans about Kagy since he came back at the 2022 season, and how 'different' his approach had been vs. past regimes (tiny snippet
here). I recall significant conversation for example the last 2 games vs. Iowa (including our win in Iowa City) about how we "looked" like the more physically and athletically imposing football team compared to Iowa, with fans crediting a change in S&C philosophy for this transformation. "Tougher for longer" was absolutely true in both of those wins. The 2024 win, we dominated the LOS the entire second half, and this past 2025 season - even after being very clearly drained from the Ireland trip and 3rd game in 3 weeks, outlasted even Iowa's best effort to try to steal a W from us.
I do hope the new staff has some kind of 'approach' for injury prevention for the back 7+ on defense, particularly the defensive backfield. Transitioning away from the 3-3-5 (which IMHO, put our smaller d-backs in harms way
much more often by forcing them to be constant hard hitters in run/gap support) should help.
