Overall, I'm appreciative of the team's effort against Missouri and for the season in general. 5-7 was the record I predicted at the start, but I wouldn't have predicted the games we'd win. Defense was very good today.
Tiller performed ok for someone with one week of the majority of snaps with the first string offense, with some pretty good throws and others not so good. O-line was pretty good most of the game against a good defense, but still had a false start and a chop block that were pretty costly. Other than a few good plays, the WR corps played terrible. Drops, poor routes, taking it easy on plays as others have mentioned. D. Reynolds missed a block on an outside run by Tiller that I think could have gone for big yards. They had other times where outside runs or screens weren't blocked well. Poor downfield blocking is some of the worst stuff you can do in a spread offense. I don't know if they need different guys or just another off-season's conditioning drills. I'm thinking more of the latter, as it can do nothing but improve this group. Take some time off for Thanksgiving and finals, and then get back to work for next year. Thanks for the effort, Seniors! Go State!
