Population is going up so naturally it should creep up.While awesome, I'm honestly surprised enrollment is still going up.
I’m pretty sure the population of college age kids is going down.Population is going up so naturally it should creep up.

It has not passed peak enrollment, which I belive was 2016 with 36,660 students. This year is at 31,105.While awesome, I'm honestly surprised enrollment is still going up.

My thought on the cliff is that although it will affect all schools, state schools will be less affected. The small privates without large endowments will get crushed.Although encouraging the cliff is still looming.
Population decline will affect the small D2/D3/NAIA schools. The large state schools are still the cheaper option and more kids want the social aspect of a larger schoolI’m pretty sure the population of college age kids is going down.
Declining birth rates especially since 2008 are expected to (and are beginning to) cause a decline in college enrollment. Add in rising costs, lack of return and increased awareness of other options and higher ed has been preparing for what could be disaster for someCliff?
That is fair.My thought on the cliff is that although it will affect all schools, state schools will be less affected. The small privates without large endowments will get crushed.
entry level math (counting) is difficult for themIt's amusing how the University of Iowa always waits to report their enrollment numbers until after ISU has reported theirs. Iowa can be pretty creative when they report their numbers and they like to wait so they know the number they have to try to beat.
everyone done moved to the cityPopulation decline is going to affect ******* everything, and there seems to be a real lack of awareness of this.
I try explaining this to everyone who goes "no one wants to work anymore". No, there just aren't as many people as there used to be of that age.
